International patients

Lung care in Tabriz for patients living outside Iran.

If you live abroad and are thinking of seeing Dr. Mahdizadeh, this page lists what to prepare and which number to call to ask about an appointment.

Documents to prepare

Gather what you already have. Clear copies and the original films are both useful, and anything you do not have can be left out.

  • Chest CT or X-ray films (the CD or the images) and their written reports, old and new, so the doctor can compare them
  • Spirometry results or any earlier breathing test
  • A list of every medicine you take, with the inhalers and spacer themselves if you use them
  • Your allergies, including any reaction to the dye used for a CT scan (contrast)
  • Hospital discharge letters, if you have been admitted for breathlessness or a lung infection
  • Recent blood test results, and your written asthma plan if you have one

How to send copies before you travel has not been confirmed yet. Call and ask: +989302272111

How to plan a visit

  1. 1

    Gather your documents

Use the list above. A short note of when your cough or breathlessness started, what makes it worse, and your smoking and work history also helps the doctor.

  2. 2

Call to ask about an appointment

Call the international number on this page. Appointments for this doctor are taken through the LimoMed support team, and the date is agreed with you by phone.

  3. 3

    Plan your trip

Arrange your own travel and stay for now. The clinic address and working hours are being confirmed and will be added here.

  4. 4

    At the visit

Bring your documents and your inhalers. The doctor asks about your symptoms, examines you and decides which tests are needed.

  5. 5

    Afterwards

Follow-up depends on what the doctor finds and is agreed with you at the visit.

The clinic address, working hours, fees, and whether a review of your documents is possible before you travel are being confirmed.

In an emergency while you are in Iran, call 115, Iran's emergency number. It is different from the international line above.

Practical questions

Can a diagnosis be made from my documents alone?

Not usually. Documents help the doctor understand your situation, but a diagnosis and a treatment plan come after an examination.

Should I stop or change my medicines before I travel?

No. Keep taking your medicines as prescribed. Do not stop a controller inhaler because you feel better, and do not reduce or stop steroid tablets without your own doctor. Bring the list with you.

Should I bring my inhalers?

Yes, the inhalers and spacer themselves, not only their names, so your technique can be checked.

What number do I call in an emergency?

115 is Iran's emergency number. It works only while you are in Iran. From abroad, use your local emergency number.

Every patient's care is different; ask your doctor about your own situation.
